Can you test hemp and CBD products?

Yes. Agricor Laboratories can test industrial hemp and industrial hemp products (edible and non-edible hemp-based CBD products) from Colorado-based businesses.

If your business is outside of Colorado, we highly recommend that you send your samples to Botanacor Laboratories. Botanacor is our sister laboratory and the leader in hemp and CBD product testing in North America.

Requirements

If you are a Colorado-based hemp business you may have your industrial hemp or industrial hemp products tested through a licensed marijuana testing facility.

Industrial Hemp

If you manufacture industrial hemp in Colorado, you must have the following:

How do you get a METRC license?

The MED requires hemp registrants to apply for a METRC license, which is the state’s seed-to-sale inventory tracking system.

Go to: https://www.metrc.com/colorado-industrial-hemp/ and sign up for their training class. You must assign an “administrator” for your METRC account. Have your CDA hemp registration number ready. The cost is $250 per year and you will need to purchase METRC RFID tracking tags, which are $0.25 per tag.

Industrial Hemp Products

If you manufacture industrial hemp products in Colorado, you must have the following:

  • CDPHE registration

How to submit samples to Agricor?

Industrial Hemp

Once you have taken the required METRC classes and set up your account, you will need to read the METRC Supplemental Guide to get familiar with the system.

All transfers to licensed marijuana testing facilities require a transfer manifest. This is a document that lists the items being transferred, which are connected to a corresponding RFID tag.

Please call us at (720) 460-3489 and we can walk you through each step in more detail.

Industrial Hemp Products

The process for submitting Industrial Hemp Products is a lot easier as the MED doesn’t require METRC. The data entry is performed by the licensed testing facility.
